This page lists the main rules and regulations for Iowa credit unions. The Iowa Division of Credit Unions oversees Chapter 189 of the Iowa Administrative Code and Chapter 533 of the Iowa Code.
Proposed Rules
The Iowa Division of Credit Unions is not currently proposing any rule changes. Executive Order 10 requires agencies to review all Administrative Rules. We plan to review our rules in 2026. All proposed changes to rules will be posted on this page.
The public comment period does not open until the rules are published by the Administrative Rules Committee. The link below can be used to view and provide feedback on any rule changes open for comments.
