NCUA OSCUI Office Now Accepting Consulting Nominations

Date:
Wednesday, May 10, 2017

The NCUA Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives (OSCUI) opened the nomination period for consulting services for the second half of 2017.  The nomination periods runs through May 31, 2017 at 5 p.m. Eastern. Nominations may be made through an online nomination form. A credit union may self-nominate or be nominated by an NCUA or state examiner. These services are provided at no charge to the credit unions chosen for the program.

A national team of experienced consultants and economic development specialists delivers these services customized to the needs of each credit union chosen for the program. Consultants principally provide assistance with strategic planning, marketing strategy, field-of-membership expansion, or capturing new markets. The office also works with organizers of proposed new credit unions.

Your credit union may qualify for our consulting assistance if it meets one of the following criteria:

  • Total assets of less than $100 million;
  • Chartered for fewer than 10 years;
  • Designated as a Minority Depository Institution; or
  • Low-income designated by NCUA.

For additional information on the consulting program, visit the OSCUI consulting web page. If you have questions, send an email to oscuimail@ncua.gov.
