Iowa credit union, Veridian, partnered with a group of Iowa filmmakers to provide access to the film, "Broke, Busted & Disgusted," a documentary highlighting the true cost of college. Veridian's partnership allows individuals to view and download the film from Veridian's website at no cost for the next 2 years.   The film is also available for rent ($4) and purchase ($7) at www.brokebusteddisgusted.com

“Veridian is a partner in creating successful financial futures, and that means providing resources to make sound financial decisions today,” said Veridian CEO Monte Berg. “We believe Broke, Busted & Disgusted starts important conversations to put students on the right path, and we’re proud to give more people the opportunity to view it.”

The film focuses on the growing concern of student debt loads.  The filmmakers hope the distribution of the film will help current and prospective students understand the impact of student debt.

“Iowa ranks among the top 10 states in the country for overall student debt totals,” says film author and financial educator, Adam Carroll. “Veridian’s partnership further expands the reach of the film and its incredibly important and timely message for students and parents. We believe, through this partnership, we can make a significant difference.”
