COVID-19 Resources

Resources for Credit Unions

IDCU Guidance

The IDCU continues to work with the Governor, other state agencies and our industry partners to provide guidance to credit unions as needed.  Credit Unions may also reach out to us if you have a question that is not addressed within the guidance supplied on this page.  This guidance is subject to change so please refer back often.  Credit unions must complete their own due diligence for each of the compliance areas.  This guidance does not constitute legal advice.

Fraud Awareness

Credit unions are on the front lines of defending against fraud schemes.  The Iowa Attorney General’s Office released guidance on Emerging Fraud Schemes due to COVID-19.  If you become aware that one of your members may be a victim, please refer them to this resource and follow your normal credit union fraud procedures.

Additional Credit Union Resources

The Iowa Division of Credit Unions is consolidating known COVID-19 resource information onto a single web resource of consumers and credit unions.  Users should bookmark this page and/or check this resource often during this unprecedented time in our State's history.  Updates will be posted as quickly as possible.

Consumer Resources

Please contact your credit union directly for the latest updates to their operating hours and locations during this time.  If necessary, credit union staff members are available to members by appointment.  Members are encouraged to use ATM, drive through services, online and mobile banking systems to access your accounts.

All Iowa state-chartered credit unions maintain federal share insurance by the National Credit Union Administration.  See their recent Share Insurance Press Release for additional information.
